and Tree Conference Scholarships Available


A limited number of $275 scholarships are available to city employees to attend the Municipal Specialist 101 Tree Academy Workshop and the 2007 Texas Tree Conference in Waco.

To apply, please send an email to John Giedraitis at jpg@tfs.tamu.edu with your name, title, the city that you work for, your municipal tree management responsibilities and if you would attend if you didn't receive a scholarship. You will promptly receive an email response.
You must apply by the Conference early registration deadline of October 1, 2007.

Municipal Specialist 101: A day with Nelda Matheny

Spend a day with Nelda Matheny. A fascinating session that is a “must attend” for city tree managers who want to grow in their job and/or take the new ISA Municipal Specialist exam. Hear from national, state and local experts on the latest research on tree ordinances, inventories and master plans, public relations and communications. You will also hear from "The Best In Texas" - case studies presented by your peers from other Texas cities. You are also invited to attend a free municipal tree managers networking breakfast.
