Sec. 82-27. Regulations; penalty for violation.

(a)   The following rules and regulations shall be followed by users of the Regional Park:

(1)   No person shall enter the picnic area without paying the applicable fee and facility fee, if any.

(2)   No person shall gather pecans. They are the property of the Regional Park.

(3)   Fishing is permitted in the Medina River. State law applies to licensing, size, limit, etc.

(4)   There shall be no hunting allowed in the park.

(a)   Definition.  As used in the section, the term "hunt" includes take, kill, pursue, trap, and the attempt to take, kill, or trap. 

(5)   No flowers, trees, shrubs or rocks shall be picked, cut, mutilated or gathered.

(6)   Loud noises will not be permitted.

(7)   No person shall dump or deposit refuse in the park, except in containers provided by the park.

(8)   Horseback riding shall not be permitted at any time, except when authorized in writing by the park manager pursuant to uniform city standards.

(9)   Pets will be permitted on leash only; and persons are responsible for cleaning up after their pets.

(10)   No climbing over, under, up, or through any fence, trees and buildings will be permitted.

(11)   No fires are permitted except in camp stoves or designated fireplaces.

(12)   No person shall enter a posted prohibition area.

(13)   No unlicensed, off-road motor vehicles shall be permitted in the park.

(14)   Alcohol, possession and/or consumption, is prohibited in the Regional Park.

(15)   Fireworks shall not be used or displayed at any time in the Regional Park.

(b)   Any person who shall violate any of the provisions of this section shall, upon conviction therefore, be subject to a fine as provided in section 1-4.

Sec. 18-103. Height limitations.

(a)   Except as otherwise provided in this article, no structure shall be erected, altered or maintained, and no tree shall be allowed to grow, in any zone created by this article to a height in excess of the applicable height limits established in this section for such zone. Such applicable height limitations are hereby established for each of the zones in question as follows:

(1)   Approach zones. 

Runway 15-33: One foot in height for each 20 feet in horizontal distance beginning at the end of and at the elevation of the primary surface and extending to a point 5,000 feet from the end of the primary surface.

(2)   Transitional zone.  Slopes seven feet outward for each foot upward beginning at the sides of and at the same elevation as the primary surface and the approach surfaces, and extending to a height of 150 feet above the airport elevation, which is 772 feet above mean sea level. 

(3)   Horizontal zone.  Established at 150 feet above the airport elevation, or a height of 922 feet above mean sea level. 

(4)   Conical zone.  Slopes 20 feet outward for each foot upward beginning at the periphery of the horizontal zone and at 150 feet above the airport elevation and extending to a height of 350 feet above the airport elevation. 

(b)   Excepted height limitations. Nothing in this division shall be construed as prohibiting the growth, construction or maintenance of any tree or structure to a height up to 50 feet above the surface of the land.

Sec. 94-30. Removal of rock, dirt, construction debris.

Rock, dirt, concrete, brick, tile, plaster, waste, scrap building materials or other trash resulting from construction or major remodeling, resulting from a general cleanup of vacant or improved property just prior to its occupancy, or resulting from sizeable amounts of trees, brush and debris cleared from property in preparation of construction, will not be removed by the city as regular service. The owner will have such debris removed at his expense and by his own special arrangement, whether with the city or others.
