ORDINANCE NO. __________

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 9, HEALTH AND SAFETY OF THE EL PASO CITY CODE BY DELETING, CHAPTER 9.20, TREE PEST CONTROL, IN ITS ENTIRETY

  WHEREAS, the City amended the El Paso City Code to add  Section 9.11 which covers tree care in public places and addresses the prevention of nuisances created by trees located on private property; and,

            WHEREAS, Section 9.11 addresses tree pest control; therefore, there is no longer a need for section 9.20,  

            NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL PASO, TEXAS:

1.  That Title 9 (Health and Safety), is amended by deleting Chapter 9.20, Tree Pest Control, of the El Paso City Code in its entirety. 

            2.  Except as expressly amended herein, all other provisions of Title 9, Health and Safety, of the El Paso City Code shall remain in full force and effect.
