2011 sponsorship information

The five TTCC events are:
Work climb:
Contestants climb to five stations in a tree, performing a different task at each station.
Aerial rescue: Contestants reach and safely lower an injured climber (actually a life-sized mannequin)
Throwline: Tests contestants' agility to accurately place lines about 50 feet up in a tree.
Belayed speed climb: Contestants ascend a predetermined route from ground to about 50 feet.
Secured footlock: Measures climber's ability to perform 40-foot vertical ascent using double-climbing line

Thursday May 19, Pre-Competition Aerial Rescue and Job Safety Workshop
8:00am - 8:30  Check in & late registration for aerial rescue workshop
8:30 - 9am  Introduction to ISA Certified Tree Worker - get your waiver
9am - 11:45am  Job safety and taking care of yourself in the heat
11:45 - 12:45  Lunch
12:45 - 3:30  Aerial rescue and demonstration
3:30pm-3:45pm  CEU signup
 
 
2011 Texas Tree Climbing Championship Participant Schedule

This is a 2-day event with all five preliminary events starting on Friday. Six climbers per group will rotate through events and  groups will be pre-drawn; each group will draw numbers for starting order. Climber rotation will change with each event.

May 20-21

Trinity Park, Fort Worth

Friday May 20 Day One - Preliminary Events
8am Check in at sequester area, gear check, assign groups
10am Event walk through
11:30 Lunch with vendors
12:30pm Start and finish preliminary events
6pm Announce finalists

Saturday May 21 Day Two - Masters Challenge
9:00am  Announce Master's Challenge competitors and preliminary winners
10:30 Master's Competition begins
Noon  Lunch provided
2:30pm  Finish
